4. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Dining Connect uses cookies, local storage, session storage, analytics scripts, and similar technologies where needed to operate the website and understand usage. Our website currently uses Google Analytics to measure traffic and engagement.
These tools may collect device, browser, usage, and network information. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some browser settings may affect site functionality.
5. Mobile App Permissions and Notifications
Dining Connect-powered mobile apps may request device permissions only when needed for a feature. For example, an app may request notification permission to send dining updates, service alerts, promotion reminders, or other university dining messages. If location, camera, photo library, or other permissions are introduced for a specific university experience, the app will request permission before using those features.
You can manage app permissions and push notifications from your device settings.
6. App Store Privacy Details
Apple App Store
Apple requires app privacy details that describe data collected by the app and by third-party partners whose code is included in the app. Dining Connect will use this policy and the app's actual behavior to complete App Store privacy disclosures for each relevant app submission or update.
Depending on the university deployment, app privacy disclosures may include contact information, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, preferences, and other app functionality data. Dining Connect does not use advertising network tracking unless that practice is added and disclosed.
Google Play
Google Play requires a privacy policy and Data Safety disclosures explaining what data an app collects, how it is used, whether it is shared, and security practices. Dining Connect will use this policy and the app's actual behavior to complete Google Play Data Safety disclosures for each relevant app.
